Admission Process

ADMISSION PROCESS (20010-11)

The admission process at Inventure Academy has been specially designed to be transparent and simple. We believe a face-to-face interaction with the parents/authorized guardians and the prospective student is of greater value than any conventional admission test. An interaction gives us a more comprehensive understanding of the child’s strengths, potential.

It also gives parents/ authorized guardians a first-hand opportunity to obtain an understanding of Inventure Academy’s core purpose, values, vision, education approach, systems, processes and people.



Students applying for grades 6,7,8,9,10 (ICSE, IGCSE) and 11 (A/AS Levels) will be required to take short placement tests in English, Science (if relevant) and Mathematics aimed at evaluating age and grade appropriate academic competence.

The process of application for admission would be as follows:


1. School tour (virtual tour on www.inventureacademy.com) and briefing about the school philosophy, approach
and offering.

2. Application Forms may be purchased at the School Office for Rs. 500/-
Admissions packet contains – brochure including application form, admission process, fee structure and fee policy.

3. Completed Application Forms to be submitted along with:

- 2 photographs
- Copy of birth certificate
- Last 2 years academic records/ transcripts
- Extra curricular records /achievement certificates, if any
- Transfer Certificate, if any
- Copy of visa /permit (non-Indian citizen)


4. Interaction between students, and parents/ authorized guardians and an Admissions Panel.

5. Placement / Evaluation of students.
- Pre School and Primary school: Admission will be based on recommendation by Grade Teacher and/ or
Special Educator for that specific Grade.
- Grades 6, 7,8,9,10 (ICSE, IGCSE) and 11(A/AS Levels) - Placement Test for students will be graded by the appropriate middle or senior. Placement test for English, Math and Science (where relevant) will be based on the syllabus of the grade previous to the one in which admission is being sought.

6. We will convey the results to you by e-mail within 2 working days after the test and an offer of admission will be made at the same time.

7. In order to secure a seat, parents/authorized guardians will be required to pay the Registration, Admission Fees and 50% of the Annual Education Fee within 2 weeks from the date that the offer of admission is made. Failure to
do so may result in the seat being offered to another student.

8. On being granted admission, the following forms need to be submitted:
- Medical/Health Form
- Parent Declaration Form
- Student Information Form: Regarding Bus/Meal Plan/ 2nd Language/3rd Language and co curricular electives.
- Transfer Certificate

The Medical/Health Form, Parent Declaration and the Student Information form will be supplied from the school

9. Provisional Letter of Admission (If the student does not reside in Bangalore, admission / placement in a grade is
provisional until the school has interacted with the student, placement test has been conducted and the parents
/authorized guardians have accepted the grade to which the student has been admitted). Admission to a
particular 1 grade is provisional till the Transfer Certificate and Pass Certificate or equivalent document from
the previous school is produced. For International and NRI students, a written sign-off from the previous
school will suffice, stating that student was registered there and what grade level was completed.

10. Payment of balance fees by 1 April 2010 – Please refer to the Fee Structure/ Fee Policy for details. Please refer to the Fee Structure/Fee policy for details.

11. Fees once paid, are not refundable.

12. Pre-registration: Parents/ authorized guardians may register their child in advance by completing the application form and paying the Registration and Admission Fees. The pre-registration is valid for two years from the day of registration. If admission is not taken, this amount is forfeited. Admission is granted provisionally till the child is of school-going age and able to go through the admission process. At the time of actual admission, the differential in the Admission and Registration Fees is payable along with the appropriate fees applicable at that time.
