Principal: Pritam L Benjamin
Pritam L Benjamin has been an educator for 35 years. She brings to Inventure Academy her belief that education is not just about acquiring facts, ready-made ideas and the skill of answering questions, but also about learning to observe, to feel, to imagine, to understand, to believe and then make choices. She believes that learning and teaching must include the formation of attitudes, in addition to knowledge and skills.

Ms Benjamin was vice principal of Bangalore International School for 9 years. This period gave her experience in an international school setting, and added to her perspective on curricula, non-academic learning and individualized approaches to teaching. Leading the National Academy for Learning (NAFL), Bangalore, provided rich exposure to CBSE and IGCSE. As founding principal of Indus International School, Bangalore, Ms Benjamin honed her outlook on discipline, counseling and mentoring of students and teachers. Her approach to parent-school relations and her liberal outlook has benefited her, as well as the students, teachers and families she has interacted with.

Ms Benjamin is a gold medalist and first rank holder in English Literature from the University of Allahabad. She did her B.Ed. from Calcutta University. She has lectured in Women's College, Ranchi, and Loreto College, Kolkata, after which she was drawn into school teaching at Sishya in Chennai and La Martiniere for Girls in Kolkata.

Ms Benjamin has an implicit belief in the inherent giftedness of each child. She believes in being a lifelong learner and cherishes what she has learned from the many children in her classrooms.
