‘Beyond the Bubble’ : the Journey

With less than a month to go, Production practice is in full swing at Inventure Academy. The entire school is buzzing with energy, as the dancers, actors, musicians, artists and media team are working harder than ever to put up a show worthy of the 10th anniversary of the school.
“Acting has really helped me grow as a person; it’s helped me gain confidence in particular”, says Pranav, an actor from the Bangalore Chorus. There’s a friendly atmosphere among all the performers, who are working hard and having fun at the same time. “It’s a delicate balance between academics and co- curricular, and we are learning to manage our time so we can focus on both aspects equally”, he adds.
The Golmaal, Pani and Uptown Funk dancers practice on the top floor. “It’s been really fun, and we almost have the entire choreography perfected”, said Devesh, a member of the troupe. While the dancers practice their steps, the musicians are busy putting together lyrics and tunes in the music room.
“We’re writing four original songs”, Milan, a talented musician, comments. “It’s interesting and exciting as we are learning along the way.” The young musicians are also coming up with a score never heard before- a challenging feat!
The Art Team have their drawings and sketches coming to life under the watchful eyes of teachers on the first floor. There are artworks and props everywhere you look.
The Costume Design Team is working hard, designing the look for each character, finalising fabrics and taking measurements.
The Media Team is ensuring that all aspects of the Production get documented. This is a new area of learning for everyone involved and the students are picking up new skills as each day progresses.
To sum it up, events like the Production provide a platform for students to identify hidden talents and expose them to experiences beyond their class rooms.
