At the Science laboratory, children learn how heat affects substances differently. Together with the laboratory assistant, they perform experiments to compare the boiling/melting points of wax and water.

At the amphitheatre, children are given time to come up with a skit on 'imagine a world without fire'. They are encouraged to access the computer laboratory and library for inputs.
The crafts teacher asks the class to draw different forms of fire. After discussing each child’s work, she demonstrates candle-making.

A mock fire drill is planned. The alarm rings. Children form orderly lines and walk to the play-field quickly. There, they are instructed on the hazards of fire and ways to prevent it and put it out.
