‘Building a caring community’ – an environment in which students work together, struggle collectively and support each other. Caring and empathy was the primary focus of Grade 7’s outbound trip to Panchgani.
Divided into three groups, the students participated in various activities which included Bouldering, Wilderness Craft with Cave walking and Rope Bridge Traverse.
Bouldering – Starting with bouldering skills and introduction to equipment, the course moves to 3-point climbing, rappelling and jumaring. Lateral challenges are provided to ensure both fun and challenge
Wilderness Craft (with Cave Walking)
Rope Bridge Traverse – With elements like Dangle Duo, Flying squirrel, Target Jump, Swinging Log, and WIld Woosey, the rope course provides many opportunities for competitive and collaborative activities, while experiencing thrilling highs and lows.
This was followed by filler games with their instructors and learning initiative activities in smaller groups.
Outbound trips are an integral and compulsory part of the Beyond Academics Program at Inventure Academy. INME has collaborated with Inventure to create a graded curriculum, so that every year there is a fresh focus and area of learning against the backdrop of adventure activities in different locations. The students learn a variety of skills, both physical and mental, all of which helps to develop their confidence and capabilities.
