Sarah Lawrence’s Sucre and Jaster Capture HVMAC Honors

NEW YORK—Sarah Lawrence College first-year athletes Caleb Jaster (New Hampton, N.H., Sant Bani) and Juan Sucre (Caracas, Venezuela, ASFM (Monterrey, Mexico)) have been recognized as Hudson Valley Men’s Athletic Conference (HVMAC) weekly award winners for the period ending September 16, as announced by the league on Tuesday. Jaster captured HVMAC Runner of the Week honors for his performance at the LIU Post Invitational, while Sucre was named HVMAC Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week after a 1-2 week for the Gryphons.

In addition, Sarah Lawrence College sophomore Ishaan Pujari (Bangalore, India, Inventure Academy) was named to the weekly HVMAC Honor Roll after tallying two goals and a pair of assists in the Gryphons’ 4-1 win over Vaughn. The sophomore forward recorded a team-leading four shots on goal for the week and filled in as goalkeeper for 4.5 minutes against ACPHS.
