Students are assigned to one of the following houses for the duration of their school year. Changes may be made by applying to the principal, for a valid reason.

Houses Colours
Venturers Blue
Inventors Yellow
Nurturers Green
Adventurers Red


Teachers also belong to houses and a single teacher is nominated house advisor for the academic year or team.

Activities such as sports, team games and Tournament of Minds give opportunities to students to excel, learn what healthy competition is about and give meaning to team spirit, essential experience for life in the real world.

Houses also contribute as teams to social outreach programmes and interaction with economically & physically disadvantaged children from our neighborhood and the city.

House appointments provide opportunities for learning the skills of leadership.

The student council comprises: - Two school captains, the sports captain, house captain and senior to junior vice captain. The entire student body are member of this council. The buddy system at Inventure Academy exists to welcome and assist new students in each class. "BUDDIES" are volunteers or students who may be identified by teachers and assigned to new comers or students in need of assistance.

Electives:-
Grades 1-5 have Co curricular activities like Music, Dance, Speech and Drama, Art and Pottery as an integral part of the curriculum and are compulsorily exposed to each one of them.
Grades 6 upwards sports and speech and drama are compulsory for all. Students can however choose from the other co curricular options of music, dance and art as their elective for the year. These electives are skill based and there is a performance/presentation at the end of the year that celebrates the student's honed skills.

PODS:-
Grade 6 upwards the students and teachers engage in chosen areas of interest and create a curriculum in collaboration. Goals and targets are set at the beginning of a semester and the POD groups work towards achieving them. There is a POD Presentation held at the end of each semester to display/celebrate achievement.

Sports & Physical Education:-
Physical Education and Fitness
Inventure Academy and PeakFitness Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. have collaborated on a programme to create a progressive and systematic approach to physical education, and higher development in sports training at the school level.
The program for the different age/ grade levels is as follows
  1. Kindergarten to 4th Grade: Basics of motor development skills/ Gross movement patterns/ Fun with sports and fitness.
  2. 5th & 6th Grades: Exposure to multiple sports/ track & field
  3. 7th & 8th Grades: Identification of proficiency in any particular sport/game
  4. 9th & 10th Grades: Specialized focus on the sport/game of choice
This programme based on the PE4Life system used in the US and the National Academy of Sports Medicine's Optimum Performance Training model

Sports
Trained coaches guide children in various team and individual sports like cricket, football, basket ball, tennis, table tennis as well as athletics.
An Adventure Course runs through the school. It is designed to challenge the child's physical fitness, coordination as well as individual and team spirit.
Annual sports showcase spirit and skills on the sports field and healthy inter house competition. All students are expected to participate in at least one item. The school based "Brilliant Brass" performs at this and other occasions.

Field Trips & Excursions:-
Form an integral part of the total learning experience at Inventure Academy. They may be planned locally, to places of academic or general relevance and information or outstation places for older students; day trips, overnight or several days. The objective of such learning is educational, physical and recreational. Teachers always accompany such groups and take change of arrangements, safety and well-being of the group as well as individuals. Sometimes, parents' volunteers are requested to accompany such groups. The added opportunity of close interaction between peers, teachers and the other age groups provides invaluable opportunities to develop inter-personal skills and the values of sharing, caring & collaborative effort.
In or out of uniform, students are expected to behave in a manner that brings pride to themselves, families & the school. Indiscipline on such trips will not be condoned. Follow up activities, as specified by the teacher are compulsory.

Assemblies:-
Are held twice a week and an additional assembly way be called for a specific event, lecture, demonstration etc..
Attendance is compulsory for all. And good behaviour is a must. Disruption by talking, in appropriate laughter or movement will invite penalty or exclusion.
Active participation at these gatherings, with the class, will be a regular feature and include celebration of national days, festivals, cultural presentation and recognition of achievement and awards.

Tournament Of Minds:-
Comprises of ongoing inter-house competition ranging from quiz, recitation, elocution, declamation, story-telling, word games, debates etc. These fixtures are held throughout the year and individual point gained by viewers contribute to the overall house championship.
