Grade 8 Inventurers visited Tons on their outbound trip, where the focus of learning was relationships. They learnt to understand concepts of trust, conflict, commitment and accountability which lead to achieving collective goals.
Students were divided into sub-groups for the various outdoor experiences which included backpacking, ropes course, rock climbing and wilderness craft where they learnt survival skills. They learnt what to do if they got lost, how to improvise shelter, find directions without a compass, build a fire, rescue lost mates or signal for help.
Students were guided to use their program workbook with an aim to building a greater understanding and appreciation of the pillars of Self-Discipline, Sense of Leadership, Social Consciousness, and School Spirit.
Students also engaged in relevant and meaningful activities that ranged from village appreciation, socially useful and productive mini-projects, health mela for the nearby village students, mutual appreciation interactions with the nearby residents, first aid sessions etc.
