Alisha Kalyanpur triumphs yet again!
After scoring a phenomenal 95 % in her 5 subjects in her Cambridge AS/ A levels at Inventure Academy, Alisha Kalyanpur had a CET standing of 93rd out of 1.5 lakh candidates. Following her dream of pursuing medicine, she applied to various colleges all over the country. She aced the medical entrances in India and was on interview lists at CMC Vellore, JIPMER Pondicherry (both in top 10 list in India), Bangalore Medical College, Amritha Institute Kochi and St Johns, Bangalore (top 20 in India). Alisha has chosen the prestigious JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research), Pondicherry as it is a central government institution and one of the top 3 medical schools in India.
Alisha strives for excellence in all that she does. Over her years at Inventure, Alisha has been appreciated for her excellence as an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer and keen tennis player. She has been an excellent ambassador for the school and her teachers and school are very proud of her. She truly embodies the ethos and holistic educational philosophy of Inventure Academy.

Thirteen year old Aisha of Grade 9 painted through her summer vacations to collect Rs. 17400.00 to raise funds for a child who needed expensive medical investigation for a brain tumour.

Paul of Grade 8 represented India in the European Championship this summer. The CIK-FIA Academy Trophy 2015 is a 3 round event held at tracks around Europe. This year it was held at Zuera Spain, Genk Belgium and Le Mans France. Selection to the championship is through nomination by the Motor Sport governing body of each country. India’s body, the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India normally sends only one. This year in recognition of Paul’s talent they sent him as the 2nd nominee. In a grid of 51 experienced drivers, some of the best in the world, Paul had a best finish of 13 in his heats, with the fastest time within 9/10th of the top driver. This impressed everyone so much that it earned him the nickname Lionissimo (like a little lion) from the Italians. We expect great things from Paul at Belgium.

Saloni of Grade 8 participated at the 2015 Karnataka State Meet held at Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre. She won 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals. In her main breast stroke event, she broke 2 State records and 1 National record. She is one of the youngest in the Group 2 age group. Despite that, she won the Karnatake State Individual Championship in Group 2 girl’s category. Saloni now looks forward to representing Karnataka at Age Group National Championship being held at Pune from July 13- 17. At this championship, Saloni won two golds at age-group nationals in Pune.
She won gold in 100M Breaststroke(1:19:51 m) and 50 M Breaststroke(36.25 seconds).This is her best time ever. Her timing is better than the silver and bronze medalists in the Under 17 category. She is in the Under 14 category.
She will swim the Medley relay for Karnataka on Thursday and 200 M Breaststroke on Friday!

Vinaya of Grade 8 was selected to represent the country in the upcoming Dance World Cup competition being held at Bucharest, Romania in July. Vinaya and her team won the bronze medal in the Hip-hop Trio category at the Dance World Cup held at Bucharest, Romania.

Nikhil of Grade 7 who plays competitive tennis is currently ranked 4th in India and 1st in Karnataka in the Under 12 category. A recent high point was him reaching the Semi Finals in the prestigious 2015 Nationals in Mumbai in May.

Aayush of Grade 5 participated in the U12 AITA tennis tournament which was held in Horamavu over 4/5 July weekend. The tournament began with a total of 128 participants. Aayush put up a brilliant fight. He was down 1-5, then fought really hard and equaled the score. The match then went into tie break, where Aayush lost 4-7.

Mahima of Grade 12 has been interning with The Hindu and here is some of her good work.

Vir of Grade 12 won the Championship at the Monsoon Regatta held in Hyderabad. He is all set for the Nationals which start on the 16th.
