Inventure Academy Successfully Defends Championship Trophy at 5th TAISI Sports Meet

Inventure Academy successfully defended the Overall Championship Trophy at the 5th edition of ‘The Association of International Schools of India’ (TAISI) Sports Meet on 19th December 2012. The meet featured a variety of different sports and athletics held over three days of fierce competition at The International School Bangalore (TISB). Sixteen schools from across India participated in the Meet. The sporting events included Track & Field, Soccer, Basketball, Tennis and Swimming.

The Inventure teams were Overall Champions in the following sports:

    • All Divisions of Boys and Girls Athletics
    • Senior Boys Soccer

Inventure Academy teams were Runners-up in the following sports:

    • Senior Girls Soccer
    • Senior Boys Tennis team (Viraj Yadav, Divit Joseph, Tanish Kharab)
    • The Inventure Junior Boys Tennis team (Nikhil Niranjan, Kunal Singh, Hamza Ali and Sanjith Devaneni) won in their category.

Inventure’s haul of medals in the Swimming pool included 17 Golds, 12 Silvers and 7 Bronzes as well as the Individual Championships for:

    • Category D Girls: Anjali Kapadia
    • Category E Girls: Saloni Dalal

Inventure Academy dominated the Track & Field arena, with a total of 76 medals (38 Gold, 25 Silver and 13 Bronze). They were the winners of the Overall Girls and Boys Championship, as well as the Overall Tournament Champions. Inventure swept the Individual Championships in all the categories:

    • Category A: Piyanka Bakshi
    • Category C: Aahika Haralalka
    • Category D: Anika Desai
    • Category E: Rivka Aarons

The boys won the Individual Championship in the following divisions: 

    • Category B: Anant Bondre
    • Category C: Ahaan Bharadwaj
    • Category E: Aryaman Harlalka
