Do you remember how YOUR first day at school was like? I’m not talking about when you were older but when you were just 4 or 5 years old! How about your days at pre-school? Was it really good fun?
Well, the kindergarteners at Inventure Academy will vouch for the fact that their time in school is simply awesome. Right from day one, the teachers at Inventure academy’s kindergarten section can say with confidence that the children have been happy and learning from the word go! That’s because of their hard work and dedication to ensure that children learn all the time.
We started the year with a wonderful way to separate the child from their primary caretaker. This is called “Inventuring”. Basically, it’s our way to welcome our young Inventurers into Inventure Academy. The teachers spent time bonding with their children through art activities, role play, singing songs and putting up puppet shows. No doubt then that the transition from home to school was seamless.
A Day at Kindergarten
Today, the little ones have all settled in beautifully and are rearing to go. Starting the day with half an hour of Physical education to help develop their gross motor skills, the young ones go on to have a hearty breakfast with their teachers and friends. This is followed by a round of circle time in class that further bonds them as a class, followed by an enriching curriculum.
Imagine learning English through a song, a story, a character and actions! What if you learnt to read simple stories because without you knowing it you have been introduced to tricky words and have learnt to blend?
What about Math? Most of us had a mental block when it came to Math. Our little ones in KG, however, love their Math lessons .The programme they follow allows them to learn concepts while discovering for themselves through various hands – on – activities.
How about kids discovering themselves, the world around them and the animal world? These are covered through discussions, activities and discovery. This makes up their Theme! At Inventure we try very hard to integrate all the aspects of the curriculum so that children don’t learn subjects in isolation but rather see the connect.
Looking Beyond Academics in Kindergarten! Dance, Music, swimming and Art are woven into the curriculum so as to give the children the opportunity to discover things beyond Academics. It’s our way to nurture the hidden talents of our little ones.
If you gave me another chance to go back to school today I would choose to go to Inventure Academy’s Kindergarten without so much as batting an eyelid! Learning is so much fun here!
