What are you currently doing?
I am currently studying Biology at Tufts University.
Which colleges did you receive acceptances from? Which did you choose and why?
I received acceptances from Tufts University, Emory University, UCLA, Wesleyan University, UC San Diego, Scripps College and College of Wooster. I chose Tufts University because of the strength of its Biology program, the location, the type of student body. According to me, it is very inclusive to internationals and just generally has a diverse, intelligent and interesting student body. The location is also prime because although it is super close to a major city (Boston), it still has its own campus.
How has Inventure helped you achieve your goals thus far?
I think Inventure supported me both academically and in terms of extra curriculars. Inventure provided me with the subjects that I wanted to take and with teachers that were engaging and knowledgeable. Inventure also gave me opportunities to play football, do MUN, take part in debates, etc.
Why would you recommend Inventure to a friend/anyone you know?
What I really liked about Inventure was the shared focus between academics and co-curriculars. I would recommend it to everyone that wants a well rounded education.
What were your major accomplishments at school?
My grades. I played football and did athletics until 11th grade. I did some MUN and some debate as well.
How have you built/used what you learnt at Inventure… how has the Inventure experience helped you in college/life?
Inventure definitely taught me to be genuinely interested in what I am doing. I had great professors, especially Biology ones, in school and that’s one of the reasons I became so interested in the field and continue to be. The Inventure experience was a well rounded experience and that’s what I find is important to have had before coming to college. When you get here it’s easy to go into extremes and forget to balance between academics, extracurriculars and a social life, but having had to do it throughout school really made it easier for me to stay on track.
