The fervour, the frenzy and the euphoria of celebrating Roald Dahl week at Inventure Academy, in the Primary wing, was an exhilarating experience for the students and their mentors.
To celebrate the author and the magic he has provided us for so many years, the students at Inventure lost themselves in Roald Dahl’s strange new worlds. From being inside the giant peaches and taking a look inside the chocolate factory with Charlie, to helping George in churning out the marvellous medicine, and then being beside Matilda when she uses her powers to scare Trunchbull into leaving the school, every moment was savoured and treasured by one and all.
The magical world of Roald Dahl enthralled the students as they participated in quizzes and poster competition for advertising a book by the author, and wore something yellow – Roald’s favourite colour!
The students of grades 4 and 5 made up an Oompa Loompa dance and got all their friends to join in! They even dressed up as Roald Dahl characters and made a pair of gigantic BFG ears – and waggled them! For that one week, the students were transported to a wholly different world where…….
