Yoga at Inventure Academy focuses on analyzing happiness, moral values, character building and physical health. The eight limbs of yoga by Patanjali which are Yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, samadhi are the basis of our offering in the yoga class.
All the activities that are held here are focused to develop our awareness, not only about the world but about ourselves, about what we are and what we really want to be and to help bridge the gap.
What is it that gives you real happiness? Happiness that is independent of things and people? What has yoga changed in your body and mentality?
These were a few questions asked to primary Inventurers to sum up their experience after practicing yoga for a whole year. Read below what some students had to say about how they met themselves!
To me real happiness is found while helping ANYONE, may it be my mom, my maid, my brother or anybody. Just seeing smiles on their faces and having the words THANK YOU makes my day. It lifts me up like a hot air balloon in flames, all the good feelings in me.
Yoga has helped me think through things. It has opened me to the world around me. For example : while playing football earlier I used to lose the ball, but now i see the best option and can keep it with me. Jay Mishra (4B)
My happiness is when I am kind to people, it sticks with me even in my saddest moments. When I remember those moments I can see that I am nice and kind. Now I can find my brightest side and be happy. Yoga has not changed anything physically, but asanas as Mollika ma’am said, is only one chapter of yoga. Yoga has helped me find my strengths and makes me more beautiful from inside. In the yoga class I can express my feelings and have myself to me for those 40 mins. Thank you yoga for helping me. I give without expecting anything in return, so….. Sarayu (4B)
I would continue to educate children because that’s what keeps me happy all the time. Yoga has helped me in many ways….my mentality and my body structure. I was not flexible earlier but now i am. Yoga is helping me focus. Tana (4B)
I was very happy when a little boy got his balloon back. I like to be kind and helping people gives me happiness. Yoga makes me calm and brings me out of stress. It expanded my mind by making me see things you can’t see from your eyes. Krisha (4B)
I feel happy to share with people who live on the road. Yoga helps me with silence. Tanvi (1A)
When I give out money food whatever I have to poor people I feel really proud of myself and also happy. Yoga : to give peace, to calm ourselves, gives energy. Shaurya (1A)
