SAFETY AND WELLBEING
Safety & Wellbeing at Inventure Academy
The safety of our learners and staff is our highest priority. We create safe spaces – both physical and emotional – through psychological and emotional wellbeing programmes rooted in our core values of sensitivity, compassion, teamwork, balancing freedom with responsibility, fostering individuality, and wider world exposure.
Inventure Academy is an ISO-certified institution that follows international quality standards, ensuring consistency, safety, and accountability across all aspects of school life.
Child Wellbeing Processes
The primary purpose of our Child Wellbeing Policy is to establish a proactive, systematic, and legally compliant framework to safeguard the physical, emotional, psychological, and social welfare of every child within Inventure’s care. It moves beyond mere reaction to harm, aiming to cultivate a secure, safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that actively promotes healthy development and resilience for every Inventure learner.
Wellbeing & Counselling
Our six wellbeing counsellors support learners through academic, psychological, and emotional challenges. Guided by our Child Wellbeing Policy and Committee, we ensure a nurturing environment where every learner feels safe to express themselves freely and with confidence.

POSH Policy
Inventure Academy is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment with zero tolerance for sexual harassment. Built on mutual respect and cultural sensitivity, our policy ensures that all staff and management comply with legal standards protecting every individual from harassment of any kind.
HONOUR CODE
Inventure Academy’s Honour Code is the foundation of how our school functions. It brings together our values, policies, and processes, and guides learners, teachers, and parents in building a respectful, responsible, and caring community.
Rooted in relational and restorative practice, it focuses on understanding impact, repairing harm, and strengthening relationships rather than punishment alone.
The Honour Code also includes the Pathfinder, which helps us navigate complex situations with clarity and consistency. We encourage individuality and freedom within a shared framework that promotes unity across Grades, Houses, and the wider school community, shaping thoughtful, socially responsible citizens ready to thrive anywhere in the world.
Safety of our children and staff is a prime priority at Inventure Academy. We create safe spaces for every child both physically and emotionally. Our wellbeing and empathy programmes rests on our core values of ‘Encouraging sensitivity and compassion’, ‘Nurturing individuality’ and ‘Providing maximum exposure’ that Inventure Academy lives by.
Contribution To Student Safety Policy
In 2014, Inventure Academy partnered with 18 other schools, UNICEF & various legal, market research, and child protection organisations, to create & present a Learner Charter to the Government of Karnataka regarding the security and abuse of school-going children. It contained key findings from the Safety Charter drafted by learners of Inventure Academy in 2016 during the ‘Our Safety Our Voice’ initiative. This Charter was developed on the basis of feedback from over 1100 learners across various socio-economic segments in Bangalore and it contributed to the development of the Karnataka Child Protection Policy (KCPC), and eventually to the drafting of the Karnataka Child Safety & Protection law twhich was implemented in January 2018.
In 2018, in the course of the Round Square Youth parliament event hosted by Inventure, 5000 children across India gave their inputs through a questionnaire on cyber security, on what makes them feel safe and unsafe online. From the answers collected, Inventure learners prepared a charter which they presented to the government and the United Nations.
Counsellors
Our school counsellors are always on hand to help learners deal with any challenge they might face, whether due to academic or personal stress, mental or emotional issues. We have four wellness counsellors across the school to support the learner body.
Well Being
We have a comprehensive Child Well Being Policy and an active CHILD WELLBEING COMMITTEE committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity. The committee was formed according to the requirements of the Child Protection Act. This fosters an environment that allows learners to express themselves without fear.

Dog Therapy for Mental Health & Well-Being of Students
Our golden retriever pups have been trained at Inventure Academy as therapy dogs to help learners develop empathy, compassion and sensitivity in an increasingly materialistic growing up environment and to slowly build on dog assisted counselling. They help lower anxiety levels and increase mental stimulation, cognitive and emotional functioning. Having our goldies around has increased the happiness quotient of an already happy Inventure and learners as well as faculty look forward to seeing them every day.
Mentoring
The programme, currently open to senior school learners, aims at providing learners with a person they can trust and rely on as well as someone who will guide them on life skills, academic goals and personal development. The Mentoring programme for these learners also connects to career goals. Learners work with the Naviance software which is very useful particularly in goal setting and identifying course and college options that best suit their ability, personality and interest.
