The Board of Advisors comprises highly accomplished people from the world of academia, arts, sports, business enterprise, technology and science. They bring to the school their collective experience and world view. Members of the Board contribute in an advisory capacity, and address students, teachers and parents on a periodic basis.

Mr. Razack is the CEO of the Prestige Group, a reputed property development company in South India. He was the Honorary Secretary of the Al-Ameen Educational Society and has an active philanthropic interest in about fifty graduate and postgraduate institutions. Mr. Razack has been a president of Rotary Midtown, Bangalore, is still an active Rotarian, and has instituted the Rotary Midtown Prestige Citizen Extraordinaire Award for citizens who have contributed to society. He is also a Paul Harris Fellow. Mr. Razack is a special invitee for the southern regional council of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII). His idea of co-founding Inventure is to provide differentiated learning and holistic upbringing for children, by imparting genuine individual care, as a part of a larger effort to contribute to the development of the country and its people.

Nooraine Fazal has a Master of Science degree in Management from Boston University. Nooraine worked with IBM and Reuters for a period of 10 years in a front-line and managerial capacity. Post a period of introspection about the future, Nooraine returned to India in 2003 (after twelve years across the UK, USA, Middle East, Australia and the Greater China region) in order to be a ‘citizen with a say’ in the way the country is developing. The result is an educational institution that incorporates much of what Nooraine believes education must be about, and promises robust, life-long development of the individual. Nooraine Fazal believes that individuality is to be celebrated, not discouraged; everyone is capable of being a life-long learner and employing the skills and knowledge they have acquired; everyone has the potential to achieve their life’s ambition – beliefs that translate into the core values at Inventure Academy.

Armed with a Master’s Degree from Delhi University and a B.Ed, her experience in the field of education spans over twenty-five years of teaching, including six years of administration! Additionally, she has two years of experience in Teacher Training which she considers the most vital part of her career because well trained faculty, well versed in the best practices of education, constantly redesigning and upgrading their practice, are the biggest value additions to the teaching learning process. She believes that education should create open minded, sensitized lifelong learners, who are prepared to face the challenges of life in the 21 century with confidence and resilience. The role of educators therefore should be that of change agents who are able to unlock the potential of their students, setting them on a path of creativity and innovation. She is passionate about History and her biggest takeaway from the subject has been to develop a capacity to learn, unlearn and relearn in life. Her current role is probably most challenging thus far, since it involves being a learner as well as a teacher. She says “the ultimate satisfaction is being able to impact young lives positively with love and learning.” She has over 25 years of experience in the wider field of education – career counselling school students, working with the Times of India’s Newspaper in Education (NIE) program, plus five years in the field of diagnostic educational testing, promoting the International Assessments for Schools from the Educational Testing Centre, UNSW Australia, and the ASSET test. She is enrolled in the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers, as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Practice and Design in Education from CERTAD, as she believes it is important to stay updated and relevant.Varsha SaxenaHead of Administration and FinanceQualifications: M.B.A. Varsha has over 20 years of experience in finance & administration. T. Sriram is the Founder Partner of M/s T Sriram & Co., established in 1972. He has served as the President of the India National Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Florida, USA. He was the President of the Rotary South West Bangalore, and the District Treasurer/ Advisor- Finance Committee of RI District 3190.
The teachers at Inventure Academy are dedicated to shaping young lives with singular commitment and creativity. They embody our Core Values , and bring our Core Purpose to life. Our faculty comprises qualified educators. empowering and sensitive individuals, who enable a warm and open – yet challenging environment which inspires learning, both academic and personal.
Our faculty is selected from India and abroad through a rigorous process of interviews, inductions and practical demonstrations of their abilities. They are a mixture of youth and experience, with educational as well as real world expertise.
Chosen for their innovative and effective skills, our teachers are supported by top-of-the-line facilities / resources, customised teaching aids, and multimedia options, including the science, computer and math labs. This helps them to accurately execute our dynamic teaching-learning model and interpret our unique curriculum.
The projected, ideal student-teacher ratio is 12:1 at Inventure Academy. However, currently the student teacher ratio stands at approximately 7:1 across the school. Additionally from Pre-K to Grade 3, there is a Lead Teacher and an Assistant Teacher in each classroom, as well as support staff.
Following our Core Value of inculcating a passion for excellence, Inventure Academy faculty members undergo thorough training in teaching methodology and their specific subject areas, which is updated every year. While we have a part time Counsellor, teachers are also trained in basic counselling skills so they can spot changes in manifested behaviour among children and offer emotional support where needed. Our teachers take their responsibility of monitoring the personal and social well-being of our children very seriously, including health, social and moral education.
Teachers are also given professional development opportunities. This includes the one year induction program, the three day Key Learning Institute course, specific Cambridge offline and online courses, the foundation program (Inventuring), and need-based in-house skill development. All together, each teacher undertakes a minimum of ten days of formal training every year. This is in addition to the two-week orientation/induction for new teachers at the beginning of the academic year, followed by mentoring by more experienced teachers and Heads of Department over the course of the first year. During the Academic Year 2013 – 2014, 22 Inventure Academy teachers embarked on a two year training certification programme from CERTAD (Centre for Education, Research, and Training & Development). The PPSE (Professional Practice and Studies in Education) is a two-year certification course which includes eight modules of professional development, running alongside teaching practice for these teachers at Inventure. Each participant will receive a Post-graduate Diploma in Professional Practice and Design in Education from CERTAD, Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, upon completion of the programme. This training program bears testimony to our commitment to create a learning community at Inventure Academy. Teachers have had four days of initial exposure to the programme and are very excited by the sheer depth and range of pedagogical tools introduced to them. These new ideas and tools are already being implemented into lesson plans for the current upcoming Academic Years.
We believe that our students’ development is enhanced by continuous dialogue between their parents and our faculty, as part of our community-centric culture. This communication occurs through scheduled one-to-one meetings, the online School Management System, parent-teacher meetings, email, satisfaction surveys and quality audits.
