The Inventure curriculum: Fit for life

Teaching and learning at Inventure is driven by an integrated curriculum that responds almost in real time to the dynamic new world we live in. Children are encouraged to be curious, to ask questions, think critically, and solve problems on their feet. Project-based and hands-on, ethical and forward-looking, our curriculum cultivates new ways of thinking, seeing and processing ideas in children’s minds.

Different disciplines connect in meaningful ways to make learning immersive and holistic for children. Sound academic concepts combined with practical learnings from the wider world give our children an edge, now and in the future. Beyond conventional mathematical and linguistic skills, our curriculum encourages children to explore areas of interest and express their understanding in myriad ways. We use problem- and project-based learning which helps our students to apply their learning and effect change in their circle of influence. areas of interest and express their understanding in myriad ways. We use problem- and project-based learning which helps our students to apply their learning and effect change in their circle of influence. And through our method of Differentiated Learning, we allow the interests, strengths and abilities of the child to guide us in supporting his or her educational needs.

Through our Beyond Academics and Wider World programs, we balance academic rigour with an equal emphasis on the arts, sport, and responsibility towards the community and the environment. These are demonstrated vividly through our unique Change Maker Challenge, the Our Voice program, Community Outreach (including long-term engagement with a local government school), Youth Parliament and Model UN activities and more. Guest Lectures and Internships, as well as outbound adventure add another layer to learnings for a new world. Collaborations with schools and educators around the world, like Round Square, the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, the New England association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and many more, strengthen our curriculum.
