OUR TEACHERS

At Inventure, our teachers are our greatest strength. Through their committed, sensitive mentorship, students at Inventure Academy evolve and grow in academic, creative and social ways. Our highly qualified teachers execute our dynamic teaching-learning model with incredible skill and focus, unlocking and sparking students’ potential and firmly setting them on the path to life-long excellence in today’s challenging environment. And most of all, they are warm, approachable and caring.

The current student-teacher ratio at Inventure Academy is at approximately 7:1 across the school. From Pre-K to Grade 3, there is a Lead Teacher and an Assistant Teacher in each classroom, as well as support staff.

Our faculty – both young and experienced, from India and abroad – are selected through a rigorous process Once they join, they become lifelong learners, upgrading their practise and personal growth constantly. It is their compassion, zeal and expertise that makes Inventure Academy one of the top 3 schools in the country, and an inclusive space, nurturing yet disciplined, progressive yet grounded.

Parent-Teacher Interaction

We work on the wonderful idea that it takes a village to raise a child, so the importance of the teacher-parent interaction is crucial at Inventure. Our teachers are readily accessible to parents. Many parents have undergone teacher training through the Learning to Fly programme, and are a part of the faculty now, bringing in unique perspectives. Several of our consultants, including Human Resources and Legal, are drawn from the parent body, too.

PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

At Inventure Academy, we want our teachers to flourish. This includes redesigning and upgrading their practises, developing critical thinking, learning styles, classroom management, design thinking, team building and more. Our teachers experience 16-17 days of training and professional development in a year, including the annual outbound programme. Senior teachers mentor newcomers, reinforcing the values of the school through peer to peer engagement. This year, we have introduced a Train the Trainer programme. A Teacher Leader programme is also in place for people managers.

Apart from the inhouse training programmes, teachers also attend several workshops conducted by the different boards of education like CISCE and CIE and international conferences like the 21st Century Learning Conference, Round Square Conference etc.

Learning to Fly

This is a unique year-long training programme for teachers whose vision is aligned with our philosophy and pedagogy. Besides recruiting young people fresh from college with the passion for education, we have also successfully co-opted some of our parents who are already exposed to and supportive of our thinking.

GUEST FACULTY

INME

Founded by alumni of XLRI, INSEAD and IIM, INME is a leading outbound learning organization focusing on building life and leadership skills in children as well as professionals. Good teachers make better students – led by this philosophy we invest in the development of our faculty with the help of INME’s faculty development programmes. The objective is to help teachers plan and act in a way that delivers on the school’s core purpose, values and vision. For students, the curriculum is designed to develop age-relevant life skills and student teacher bonding, while giving them an opportunity to experience the diversity of India through outbound class trips (grades 4-12). Students get certified at each level of the program.
